At Elevate Salon Institute, we not only care about your growth as a student, but just as importantly building strong relationships with all of our future professionals growth and journeys beyond graduation. Whether it’s their industry specific choice of expertise in a colorful array to choose from, continued education and training, etc… our main objective is to cultivate a continued culture of networking for maximum growth potential beyond our walls.
One of our instructors, Ms. Michelle, recently had the pleasure of sitting in an ESI alumni, Alliah Allen’s, chair for iTip extensions. Being the client is sometimes a very different and somewhat extraordinary experience when you’re a vet of this industry. This time, however, it was different. Michelle had the pleasure of witnessing how quickly Alliah had already excelled in her career, continued education efforts and new techniques learned. As Michelle put it, ” sitting in Alliah’s chair made me truly understand what I am working towards every day and the impact had in helping to move each and every student forward.” To know where this alumni had started, so very long ago, compared to her immense growth and success in just one short year served as the greatest reward and takeaway from the entire experience.
Here are just a few snippets as Michelle had the opportunity to reminisce with Alliah….
Michelle: “Thinking back, what made you choose Elevate Salon Institute?”
Alliah: “Looking back , I chose Elevate Salon Institute, because the moment I walked through the doors, I innately knew it was where I was meant to be. The environment was truly amazing and everyone welcomed me, prior to even enrolling, with open arms.
Michelle: “Thinking back, what is your favorite memory of your time spent as an ESI student?
Alliah: “My favorite memory is from the first time I colored and cut a bob, and it ACTUALLY turned out really good!!! It was like the ‘Hair Gods’ had answered my prayers and I had unlocked certain talents that I didn’t know I was capable of. Till this day, it is my favorite haircut to do.”
Michelle: “If you had one piece of advice to give future ESI professionals looking to enroll, what would it be?”
Alliah: “Just DO IT! Take the Leap! Also, after enrolling, just remembering your ‘WHY’. Stay focused and be authentically you. It is very easy to derail or get sidetracked by others around you. Your progression, perfecting your craft and paving your own pathway of what your true passion is, is the only thing that will matter in the long run.”
Michelle: “Lastly, if any new clients would like to book with you, how do they so?
Alliah: First you can find me on Instagram @alliahveenab or you can call Veena B and book with me (984) 888-0107.
