New Year, New Skin Routine…..

Well, it’s that time of the year again. The time for all of us look back at the previous year and come up with small changes for the new year – otherwise known as New Year’s Resolutions. Most of us typically make resolutions focused around saving money, exercising more, spending time with family and practicing a higher level of self-care.  Practicing healthy skincare habits happens to be a huge step in creating a self-care routine. Skincare starts with education and Elevate is here to help you to obtain that knowledge with these 5 great skincare tips for the New Year.

1) Take Care of Your Skin From the Inside Out   

We’ve said it before, your skin is one of your most important organs and since it’s on the outside it’s subjected to more damage. Taking care of your skin isn’t just about cleansing and creams, it also includes your diet. It includes what you eat, drink, how do you sleep. Making sure you’re hydrating and you’re eating a diet rich and Whole Foods will only help your skin glow.

2) Cleanse, Cleanse, Cleanse

We just can’t say this enough. It needs to be a part of your daily routine. – morning and night.  When you do it in the morning it will remove impurities that were brought to the surface while you slept, and at night it will remove makeup and other contaminants you may have been exposed to throughout the day.

3) Wear SPF Every Single Day

I know we all love being out in the sun and enjoying the warmth but the sun damages your skin.  SPF is that layer of protection you need.  Don’t leave the house without it.

4)  Stop Touching and Picking Your Face

This sounds simple enough, but I know we all struggle with is habit.  When you are stressed I bet you touch your face.  When you have that pimple, I know you struggle not to pop it.  But every time you touch your face you transfer oil and bacteria.  Stopping these activity’s will only help!

5) Invest in Skincare With Facials From Elevate

You invest in the gym to help build a strong body.  So why not invest in your skin?  The Elevate team of students and educators are always on call and ready to help you out. If you want to have great skin, investing facials to get a proper deep cleanse, relaxation and hydration that you just can’t get at home and then investing in products which will  help you maintain the results of that facial, until you can come for your next service. We recommend facials once a month.

Making resolutions is the easy part, but sticking to them can be difficult in this day and age. If you can maintain a proper skincare routine throughout the year, you will notice exceptional changes in your skin over time.
