So you want to be a Cosmetologist?

During your childhood were you obsessed with playing with your baby dolls, Barbies, maybe even your Cabbage Patch Kids, or American Girl Dolls? Always finding yourself playing with their hair! Constantly brushing it, putting it in a ponytail, braid or some crazy hairstyle?!?!

At ESI this is where that childhood dream comes to life!

After learning the “basics” during Foundations, you will then move into Advanced. This is where you execute the “basics” and start seeing your dream of being in the beauty industry flash before your eyes. The information given to you by our team of educators while in Foundations and Advanced will set you up to be a talented artists out there.

In the ESI Cosmetology Program you can get as creative as your mind and hands allow you!

Never held shears before? Let’s be honest we all have, probably cried to our parents because you jacked up your dolls hair or maybe even your own. We have you covered, from learning how to hold your shears to how to hold a comb, and properly do an actual haircut. Then say to yourself, I just did that!

It goes much deeper than that! You will learn chemistry, electricity, learn how hair grows, and alot of “why”. Why, does it grow, why does that chemical straighten or relax that natural curly hair, why does that lightener make the hair go lighter. Why does that two step process of a liquid and a powder harden to create beautifully sculptured nails, why taking care of your skin is so important, why does that bottle of peroxide help cover gray and color your hair. The transformations are endless!
