What can I expect with an Elevate education? Part 3

Happy early new year future professionals, it’s Matt again from the admissions team and Elevate. Hope that you have all had a very safe and healthy holiday and are looking forward to 2021. As you know over the past few weeks we’ve been touching on what you can expect from an Elevate education.

So far we’ve talked about how Elevate goes beyond the book and that at Elevate you not only receive an education you become part of a family. That leads us to today and the third item you can expect from the education provided by Elevate…..

The opportunity to GIVE BACK!

Philanthropy, giving back, taking care of others, doing good, whatever you wanna call it, it’s not technically part of the curriculum. The North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Arts will not test you on it. But giving back and doing good for others is core to who we are.

We’ve donated money to Dress for Success and Step up Durham.

We’ve given free haircuts to those in need at Urban Ministries and even shut our doors down to cut hair for the Black Bears at A.L Stanback Middle School.

We’ve given out book bags to students struggling and donated cans of food.

Doing good for others gives us purpose and continues to fuel us.  As an Elevate family member you will get opportunities to take that part of who you are and let it shine on the world.

Now more than ever we need future professionals who aren’t just in it for themselves but are in it for the greater good. If that describes you we wanna meet you so reach out to us!
